Ruby J. Carver, age 76, of Broxton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023. Mrs. Carver was born on January 19, 1947, in Dodge County, GA to Felton Osborne Burnam and Ruby Louise Jones.

Ruby had a gypsy’s spirit; she just loved life, her family and dogs. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face with a positive attitude no matter the situation. She loved to make people laugh and had absolutely no filter which meant she kept us all on our toes as we never knew what she would say or do next. She will be greatly missed but she doesn’t want us to mourn, she wants us to celebrate her life with smiles and memories.

Survivors include; Daughter: Rhonda Carver Newell of Wray, GA, Son: Jamie Carver of Broxton, GA, Six Grandchildren: Chris Wyant (Jessica) of Arizona, Casey Wyant of Wray, GA, Cami Wyant of Wray, GA, Cheyanne Wyant Hutto of Fitgerald, GA, Alexander Carver of Kansas City, KS and Erica Carver of Arizona, Seventeen Great Grandchildren, One Great Great Grandchild, Three Sisters:  Faye Marks of Broxton, GA, Penny Burnam of Douglas, GA, Tesa Burnam of Douglas, GA One Brother: Charles Burnam of Douglas, GA and several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Felton and Ruby Burnam, Son: David Carver, Three Brothers: Richard Burnam, Ronald Burnam, Larry Burnam and One Sister: Johnnie Mae Burnam.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at Sims Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 2:00PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Burnam officiating.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.
