Allen Clay, 31, has been arrested and faces illegal drug charges after detectives with the Douglas Police Department searched his home. The incident report states that officers found methamphetamine, molly, and marijuana.

On February 6, officers received a tip that Clay may be selling drugs out of his home. A convicted felon, he allegedly had guns in his house as well.

Two officers acted on the tip and went to the home. The report states that a woman answered the door and said she was the only one at home at the time. The officers could smell marijuana and called for additional help. One of the officers asked the woman to step outside and she refused, according to the report.

The report states that the woman kept looking back inside the house as though she was looking at someone else. She finally admitted that she was not alone. A police officer then, as the report states, forced his way inside the home. He found Clay inside and escorted him outside. After seeing suspected marijuana inside, officers obtained a search warrant for the home and conducted a search.

The search yielded several kinds of suspected illegal drugs. Clay was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (molly), possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Clay was transported to the Coffee County Jail. He was released on February 10.
