Carlos Lankford, age 82, of Broxton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Mr. Lankford was born on May 2, 1940, in Coffee County, GA to Warren Lankford and Irene Spell Lankford.
Survivors include; Wife: Margaret Jane Lankford of Broxton, GA, Two Daughters: Samantha Ann Lankford of Broxton, GA and Amanda Caroline Lankford (Ottie) of Broxton, GA, Three Grandchildren: David Scott Woods Jr. (Colleen) of Broxton, GA, Lauren Elizabeth Mercer (Nick) of Broxton, GA, Alania Marie Lankford of Broxton, GA and Sister: Eloise Daniel of Moultrie, GA. He was preceded in death by; Parents: Warren and Irene Lankford, Four Brothers: Jack, Verdayne, Chester and Clinton Lankford, Three Sisters: Vivian Moore, Lucille Banks, Louise Nettles and Son: Carlos Anthony Lankford.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Hattaway officiating.
Interment followed at Providence Cemetery in Broxton, GA. Active Pallbearers will be: Gil Morgan, David Knight, Clay Lott, Jimmy Dockery, Jerald Guthrie, Marc Thomas, Dwayne Gillis and David Norris. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Dockery’s Sunday School Class, Men of Acts, Deacons and David Weeks with the Douglas Lodge #386 Free and Excepted Masons.
