Kate Woods, age 78, of Douglas, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Mrs. Woods was born on January 13, 1945, in Coffee County, GA to Joe Dykes and Linnie Varnedore Dykes.
Survivors include: Son: Johnny William Woods (Lesia) of Douglas, GA, Daughter: Judy Ann Crosby (Ronnie) of Pearson, GA, Five Grandchildren: Tracy Mizell (Jimmy) of Homerville, GA, Eddie Crosby (Melissa) of Axson, GA, Angie McCoy of Douglas, GA, Johnnie Woods of Douglas, GA, Jennifer Svoboda (Todd) of Valdosta, GA, Eleven Great Grandchildren: Savannah Mizell (Jack), Leigha Crosby, Ellie Kate Crosby, Kyler Stevens, Carleigh Woods, Maci Woods, Kali Woods, Logan Hughes, Mason Svoboda, Miela Svoboda and Ava.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11:00AM at Tanner Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. Active
Pallbearers will be: Johnnie Woods, Eddie Crosby, Kyler Stevens, Jimmy Mizell, Jack Jewell and Todd Svoboda.
