Carolyn Tanner Cole, 84

Carolyn Tanner Cole, age 84, of Douglas Georgia, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Cole was born on October 9, 1938, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Joel and Idell Tanner.

 

 

Survivors include: Three Daughters; Cheryl Janet Phelps (Kell) of Douglas GA, Cindy C. Beasley (Dan) of Jasper, GA, Susan Mullis of Savannah, GA, One Son; Charles “Chuck” Cole (Kathleen) of Apex, NC, One Sister; Rubeye Smith of Alma, GA, Sister-in-Law; Naida Tomner of Waycross, GA, Eight Grandchildren; Aaron Beasley (Ashley) of Cartersville, GA, Amanda Ross (Theo) of Douglas, GA, Andrew Mullis (Eliana) of Leesburg, GA, Cole Mullis of Atlanta, GA, Bailey Phelps of Perry, GA, Raylyn Phelps of Statesboro, GA, Chaz Cole of Apex, NC, Griffin Cole of Apex, NC, Two Great-Grandchildren; Rowan Beasley and Ryker Beasley. She was also survived by several Nieces and Nephews. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by: Her Husband, Charles Cole, Parents; Joel and Idell Tanner, a Son-in-Law; Brad Mullis, and Three Brothers; Edwin Tanner, Cecil Tanner, and Joe Tanner.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM, at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 11:00AM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Beasley officiating. The interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Chaz Cole, Griffin Cole, Bailey Phelps, Cole Mullis, Theo Ross, and Andrew Mullis.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
