Augustina Salmeron, age 86, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness.  Mrs. Salmeron was born on February 28, 1937, in Guerrero, Mexico to Obispo Valente and Hilaria Avila Salmeron.

 

 

Survivors include: 4 Sons, Rafael (Claudia) Bardomiano of Douglas, GA, Gaudencio Bardomiano, of Mexico, Antonio  (Alicia) Santos of Douglas, GA, Pablo (Felipa) Santos of Douglas, GA, 4 Daughters, Hilda (Bernardo) Loredo of Broxton, GA, Maria Astudillo of Douglas, GA, Ernestina (Alfredo) De Jesus of TX, Veneda (Bulifido Paragua) Santos of Mexico, 2 Sisters,  Many Grandchildren, and Several Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Salmeron was preceded in death by: Father, Obispo Valente; Mother, Hilaria Avila Salmeron.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Paul O’Connell officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.

 

 

The family will receive friends Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3:00 pm until Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm at her residence located at 16 Tiffany Lane in Douglas, GA. A rosary service will also take place at her residence on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 6:00 pm.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
