Mrs. Consuelo “Connie” Agnes Perez Strickland, age 86, of Douglas passed away Tuesday morning, April 11, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Bay Meadows, following a short illness. Mrs. Strickland was born September 28, 1936 to the late Michael Miguel Perez and the late Maria Piaz Perez. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James Thomas Strickland and 5 Siblings: Lino Perez, Sophie Moore, Tina De LaTorre, Johnny Perez and Arthur Perez. 

 

 

Mrs. Strickland was born in Glendale, AZ. She was a seamstress by trade and a member of Faith Mission Assembly of God. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

7 Children: Paul Perez and wife Jeannette of Riverdale, CA 

Gail Burch and husband Johnny, Sr. of Axson, GA 

Danny White of Fitzgerald, GA 

Michael White and wife Cecilia of Douglas, GA 

Jimmy White of Douglas, GA 

Robyn McNeill and husband Justin of Douglas, GA 

Rhonda Sellers and husband Michael of Baxley, GA 

 

 

9 Siblings: Lupe Posey, Marci Padie, Margaret Guzman, Ester Motley, Linda Benzes, Mary Guajardo, Toni Miller, Max Perez and Miker Perez 

 

 

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. 

 

 

Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. 

 

 

The funeral service was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 3:30 PM at Saving Grace Ministry with Rev. Cliff Kirkland, Rev. Brandon McMillan and Bro. Justin McNeill officiating. The Inurnment will follow at a later date. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service were: Johnny Burch, Jr., Daniel White, Blake Crosby, Kenneth Burch, Brian White and Ian Valdez. 

Special Musical Selections “Holy Hills” was presented by Joyce Roberts, with Steve Watkins at the Piano and “Amazing Grace” was presented by Marie Martin. 

 

 

Memorialization was by cremation 

 

 

Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com
