Juanita Ellis McCook, age 91, of Martinez, GA passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Stevens Park Health and Rehabilitation in Augusta, GA following an extended illness. Ms. McCook was born on November 25, 1931 in Coffee County, GA to the late T.J. Ellis and Sadie Ellis.

 

 

Survivors include: One Son: Billy (Patti) Hutto of Clark Hill, SC, One Daughter: Linda Gail Carter of Louisville, GA, One Sister: Eulane McCauley of Ambrose, GA, Three Grandchildren: Kayla Hutto of Douglas GA, Brittney (Rocky) Moskos of Greenville, SC, Nicholas Hutto of Brunswick, GA, Seven Great Grandchildren: Gatlin Smith, Maria Brooks, Amyha Brooks, Haley Taylor, Brennon Taylor, River Moskos, Rocky Moskos Jr., and several Nieces and Nephews. Ms. McCook was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. Ellis and Sadie Ellis and one Great Grandchild Sadie Rene’ Hutto.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home, Dougals, GA, with Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Mike Jordan, Billy Denton, Earl Austin, Harry Smith, Kenny Hutto, and Ricky Hutto.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
