Mrs. Linda Richardson Vickers, age 75 of Willacoochee, GA passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Vickers was born September 21, 1947 to the late Fred Richardson and the late Mary Harper Richardson. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother: Larry Richardson and 1 Sister: Mavis Morgan. 

 

 

Mrs. Vickers, a native of Coffee County, had been employed by the Coffee County Board of Education as a food preparer in the lunchroom. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, but had been attending Broxton Baptist Church. She was also known as “The Candy Lady”. She carried lots of candy in her purse and handed it out where ever she would go. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

Her Husband: Robert Buriel Vickers of Willacoochee, GA 

 

 

1 Daughter: Freda Christine Vickers of Willacoochee, GA 

 

 

1 Son: Marvin Lee Vickers of Willacoochee, GA 

 

 

5 Siblings: Mickey Richardson of Columbus, GA 

George Richardson and David Richardson both of Wray, GA 

Diane Richardson Smith and Renee Richardson Spivey both of Ambrose, GA 

 

 

2 Half-Sisters: Hazel Green of Mobile, AL 

Evelyn Barganier of FL 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, May 4, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

A memorial service will be announced for a later date. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
