Linda F. Sweat, age 68, of Nicholls, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the Irwin County Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Sweat was born on December 24, 1954 in Coffee County, GA to the late Edward and Bernice Rowell.

 

 

Survivors include: Husband, Joe L. Sweat of Nicholls, GA, One Daughter, Samantha (Patrick) Covin of Nicholls, GA, One Son, Jason (Jennifer) Sweat of Nicholls, GA, Two Brothers, Charles Rowell of Atkinson, GA, Larry (Patsy) Rowell of Douglas, GA, Two Sisters, Claire Gourley of Vidalia, GA, Sue Cofield of FL, Two Grandchildren, Brielle Covin of Nicholls, GA, and Jaxon Sweat of Nicholls, GA. Mrs. Sweat was preceded in death by: Her Parents, Edward and Bernice Rowell.

 

 

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 at 11:00AM at the Cornerstone Church of God with Rev. Matthew McEachern, Rev. Jamie Coker, and Rev. Eric Burch officiating. The interment will follow at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers will be: Jason Fender, Steven Steptoe, James Davis, Darrell Davis, Clayton Taft, Jamie Rowell, Hunter Stevens, and Gerry Harrell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Walter Sweat, Trey Adams, and Eric Johnson.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
