Former NBA player and Douglas native Aaron Swinson visited City Hall on Friday, May 12, 2023. 

 

 

Isaac Swinson, a city code enforcement officer, is Aaron’s brother. Aaron stopped by City Hall to surprise his brother and visit with city staff.

 

 

Aaron attended Brunswick High School and played at Auburn before landing with the Phoenix Suns. He played with Phoenix during the 1994-1995 season, playing in nine games and averaging 2.7 points, .9 rebounds, and .3 assists per game. After playing with Phoenix, he played professionally in Italy, Spain, and Argentina. 

 

 

Aaron retired in 2005 and is currently an assistant coach with the Hofstra University women’s team. He lives in New York City.
