Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Smith Valenzuela, age 63 of Douglas, GA passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. 

 

 

Mrs. Valenzuela was born October 23, 1959 to the late Foye Smith and the late Betty Marie Holmes Smith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Randy Smith, Ken Smith and Betty Jones. 

 

 

Mrs. Smith, a native of Soperton, GA, was a homemaker. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

3 Children: April Smith of Pearson, GA 

Candice Howell of Warner Robins, GA 

Adam Owens of Pearson, GA 

 

 

7 Grandchildren: Derrick Smith and Clinton Smith both of Douglas, GA 

Benzel Stewart of Pearson, GA 

Ella Howell, Avery Howell, Jacob Howell and Jackson Howell all of Warner Robins, GA 

 

 

3 Step-Children: Whitnie Valenzuela of Douglas, GA 

Johnathan Valenzuela and Rebekah Valenzuela both of Broxton, GA 

 

1 Sister: Dianne Nipper of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Brother: Jimmy Smith of Douglas, GA 

 

 

A number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

The memorial service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

Memorialization is by cremation. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
