Mrs. Marlene Ann Linkes Farmer, age 78 of Douglas, GA passed away Sunday morning, May 14, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Farmer was born January 1, 1945 to the late Ed Linkes and the late Nora Flynn Linkes. 

 

 

Mrs. Farmer was born of Cincinnati, OH but had moved to South Georgia, where she had lived for most of her life. She had worked in the office at Elixir for a number of years. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

1 Son: Roy Ed Farmer of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Daughter: Leeia Farmer Meeks and husband Kyle of West Green, GA 

 

 

4 Grandchildren: Ky Meeks and wife Courtney of Madison, Wisconsin 

Kope Meeks and wife Jaimee of Douglas, GA 

Clara Farmer Yoder and husband Dustin of Jacksonville, FL 

Sam Farmer of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Great Granddaughter: Brinley Meeks of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Several Cousins and Other Relatives 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, May 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. 

 

 

The memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Fender officiating. The inurnment will follow at Central Cemetery. 

 

 

Memorialization is by cremation. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
