Anne Morris Peterson, age 79, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at her home following a brief illness.  Anne was born on July 18, 1943, in Homerville, GA to the late Edwin Willis Morris, Sr. and the late O’Lena Summerlin Morris.

 

 

Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Michele Peterson of Douglas, GA; One brother Billy (Ginny) Morris of Payson, AZ; Several Nieces and Nephews; Three Grandchildren, Ian Boatright, Payton Boatright and Lauren Boatright. 

 

 

Preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Peterson; Father, Edwin Willis Morris, Sr. and Mother, O’Lena Summerlin Morris; Two Brothers, Basil Neil Morris and Edwin W. Morris, Jr.

 

 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2:00 pm, at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Peterson officiating.

 

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
