Jerry Woodrow Hill Sr., age 73, of Broxton, GA passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hill was born on August 27, 1949 in Jesup, GA to the late Jasper Hill and Mary Hill.
Survivors include: One Daughter; Crystal (John) Smitherman of Broxton, GA, Two Sons; Chad (Caressa) Hill of Buford, GA, Jerry (Staci) Hill of Douglas, GA, One Brother; Jimmy (Gail) Hill of Dawsonville, GA, One Sister; Linda (Jerry) Day of Tifton, GA, Thirteen Grandchildren; Caitlin Hill, Hallee Hill, Payne Pope, Meaghan Hill, Cory White, Austin Smitherman, Todd Hill, Evan Hill, Abigail Smitherman, Zachary White, Owen Hill, Hannah Hill, Alec White, and One Great Grandchild; Brylee Pope. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by: His Wife, Glenda Hill, Parents; Jasper Hill and Mary Harrell Hill, and a Brother; Ricky Hill.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 3:00PM, at Salem Holiness Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Sheffield and Rev. Dwayne Tanner officiating. The interment will follow at Salem Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Josh Milhollin, Cam Lee, Cagney Lee, Austin Smitherman, Payne Pope, and Dylan Richardson.
