Nettie Mae Blevins Davis, age 89, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Davis was born on June 10, 1934, in Orr, KY to the late Calvin Blevins and the late Betty Caldwell Blevins.

 

 

Survivors include: Two Daughters: Brenda (James Earl) Carithers of Nicholls, GA and Beverly (Tony) Abler of Reidsville, GA. One Son: James Edward (Kathy) Davis of Douglas, GA. Four Sisters: Doris Thomas of Plains City, OH, Janice (Alfred) Noland of Marysville, OH, Eulah Zoldak of Marysville, OH, and  Rosemary Sparks of Marysville, OH. Nine Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews, Nineteen Great Grandchildren, Four Great-Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Great Grandchild. 

 

 

She was preceded in death by: Father: Calvin Blevins, Mother: Betty Caldwell Blevins, Four Sisters: Cora Pyles, Betty Lou Hackney, Margaret Flowers, Cloe Menderhall, Husband: Harold Davis, Son: Lloyd Davis, Brother: JT Blevins, Two Great Granddaughters: Chasity Tacket and Latisha Tacket, and Great-Great Granddaughter Ashlynn Payton.

 

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 11:00 am Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Jason McSwain officiating. Interment followed at Chatterton Church Cemetery. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers will be: Josh Sexton, Earl Carithers, Tony Abler, Scott Seirra, Cameron Seymour, and Roger Webb. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation staff.

 

 

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.
