Ms. Shirley Yvonne Sapp Anderson of Nicholls, passed away Wednesday morning, June 14, 2023 at her residence following a short illness. Ms. Anderson was born January 7, 1936 to the late James Walter Sapp and the late Willie Brantley Sapp. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Willie Franklin Anderson, Sr., 1 Son: Gary Lee Anderson, 3 Sisters: Francis Lyles, Helen Stevens and Alice Watts. 

 

 

Mrs. Anderson, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker. She was an active member of West Ward Church of God. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

2 Sons: Willie Franklin Anderson, Jr. and wife Judy of Hazlehurst, GA 

Andy Anderson of Nicholls, GA 

 

 

2 Sisters: Rachael Royal of Savannah, GA 

Mae McDaniel of Centerville, GA 

 

 

3 Grandchildren: Jason Anderson of Ambrose, GA 

Ashley Anderson and wife Amber of Hazlehurst, GA 

Andy Jo Jaydin Anderson of Nicholls, GA 

 

 

Special Friend: Gilbert Bailey of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Other Relatives. 

 

 

The family will receive friends Friday, June 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will be Friday, June 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Douglas City Cemetery with Bishop Britt Peavy officiating. Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Ashley Anderson, Camden Anderson, John Graham, Brian “Slim” Graham, Stacey Adams and Josh Williams. 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
