Joyce Cole Brantley, 79 of Palmetto, FL, passed away on Friday June 23, 2023.
A native of Charleston, S.C., she had lived in South Georgia most of her life where she had previously worked for the Georgia Department of Agriculture, Federal State Inspection Service for many years.
She moved to Florida in 1988, where she retired from the Florida Department of Agriculture in 2011.
She is survived by her son, Kevin P. Brantley of Bradenton, FL, previously from Fitzgerald, GA.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina L. Brantley and father and mother, Floyd Cole and Eleanor Johnson Cole of Coffee County and only sister Juanita Cole White of Axson.
Ms. Brantley was of the Baptist faith.
There will be no service or viewing for the public, as she requested. A small graveside service will be held for family only at The Douglas City Cemetery.
