James Franklin Leis, age 84, of Douglas, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his residence.  Mr. Leis was born on February 25, 1939, in Lebanon, Ohio, to Richard Carlyle Leis and Irene Szabo.

 

 

Survivors include: Beloved Wife; Connie Leis of Douglas, GA, One Daughter; Paige (Steve ) Williams of Douglas, GA, Two Sons; Jimmy  (Ashley) Leis of Douglas, GA, and Morris (Suzy) Leis of Douglas, GA, Six Grandchildren; Steven (Laurel) Williams, Lee (Patrick) Braxton, Clara Leis, Jim Leis III, Carswell Leis, Laura Kate Leis, One Great-Grandchild; Samuel  Williams, One Sister; Sandy (Jim) Jordan of Auburndale, FL. He was preceded in death by: Two Brothers; Richard Leis, and John Leis, Father; Richard Carlyle and Mother; Irene Szabo.

 

 

The family will receive friends Monday, July 10, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Andrews Anglican Church.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 am St. Andrews Anglican Church with Rev. James Guthrie and Rev. John Cummins officiating, Morris and Jimmy Leis giving eulogies. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery.

 

 

Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.
