At the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce’s July Power Lunch, Ben Floyd, Vice President of Operations for Coffee Regional Medical Center, received the first-ever 2023 Emerging Leader Award.
At Monday’s meeting, the Chamber of Commerce announced the new award, which will be presented quarterly to recognize professionals between the ages of 20 to 39 who demonstrate commitment to the growth and development of the Douglas-Coffee County community; demonstrate excellence, creativity, and innovation in their business or profession; and support the business community through engagement with Chamber of Commerce programs and activities.
The four emerging leaders selected throughout the year will be recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Award Banquet as the 4 Under 40. This program was designed in an effort to identify and encourage those who will surely lead the community to continued success in the decades to come.
Ben is the first-ever recipient of the award. Ben’s earliest affiliation with Coffee Regional was as a Wellness Coach from 2005 – 2006. Fortunately for CRMC, he returned in 2012 after receiving his Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Troy University. Ben successfully led CRH Physician Practices in various roles for four years before transitioning into his current role as VP of Operations. In this role, Ben oversees the day-to-day operations of several hospital departments, including construction and expansion projects, facility maintenance, dietary, laboratory, physician recruitment, and marketing and PR.
Vicki Lewis, President and CEO of Coffee Regional, shared this about Ben. “Ben is very deserving of this recognition. He is a respected leader, and his knowledge and dedication to our organization have contributed to our success. We are grateful to have Ben on our leadership team.”
Ben has been an integral part of the leadership team of the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce for several years. He currently serves as the Chamber Board’s First Vice Chair. The Douglas-Coffee County community recognizes Ben’s leadership not only through his fine work with Coffee Regional Medical Center, but also as an engaged leader of community and economic development. The Chamber is grateful to Ben for all he does for our community.
