Antonio DeJesus Andrade, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after an alleged fight that occurred around 10 p.m. on July 24.
According to a report from the sheriff’s office, the alleged incident took place at Bear Creek Mobile Home Park. The officers arrived, they spoke to three individuals, one of whom was the victim. He had a large cut on his head and a visible injury on one of his arms. The victim reported that he went to a friend’s home in the park to pick him up. While he was there, Andrade came out of the home and began yelling at him. That led to a fight, he said via the report, and Andrade hit him in the head with what the victim believed was a gun. They fought for a bit, the report says, before the victim was able to get away and return to his home.
A witness confirmed the victim’s account but added that after he returned home, Andrade and two others (one of whom was a female) came to the victim’s home. Andrade then hit the victim with a crowbar, the report says, and then Andrade and the other two left.
Andrade had left the park and gone to a residence at Mancil’s Mobile Home Park. He wanted to speak with officers so they went to his location. The report states that Andrade said that the victim was “cussing him out telling him to cut his music off.” Andrade said he wasn’t turning the music off and that’s when the victim approached him in an aggressive manner. According to Andrade, the victim hit him first then the two began fighting.
Andrade reported that the victim had a pair of scissors in his hand and he hit Andrade with them. Andrade stated, the report says, that he took the scissors from him and hit the victim with him. The officer replied that the victim’s injuries didn’t come from a pair of scissors. He asked Andrade if the object could have been a crowbar. Andrade said he didn’t really know what it was. He also denied going to the victim’s home after the initial fight.
The report states that Andrade didn’t show any visible marks. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Andrade was taken to jail but has since been released.
