Mr. Dave Curtis Roberson, Sr., age 85 of Douglas, GA passed away Sunday morning, July 23, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. Mr. Roberson was born November 28, 1937 to the late John F. Roberson and the late Rose Ella Ballance Roberson. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daugther: Sandra Nugent and 3 Siblings: Evelyn Brantley, Elbert Roberson and Betty J. Sirmans. 

 

 

Mr. Roberson, a native of Irwin County, GA, was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church in Atkinson County. He had worked with produce at the Farmers Market and he had also worked with Tri-County Gas Company. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His Wife: Glenda Faye Middleton Roberson of Douglas, GA 

 

 

1 Son: Dave Curtis Roberson, Jr. (Cathy) of West Green, GA 

 

 

1 Son-in-Law: Mike Nugent of Willacoochee, GA 

 

 

4 Grandchildren: Nicole Deen (Johnny) of Douglas, GA 

Kaci Anderson (Jeremy) of Douglas, GA 

Ashton Pryor (Shane) of Ocilla, GA 

MaLana Scott (Trent) Waycross, GA 

 

 

7 Great Grandchildren: Dallan Nugent of Ocilla, GA 

Emma Deen, Kayson Jacobs, Gracelyn Anderson and Chloe Deen, all of Douglas, GA 

Brysen Pryor of Ocilla, GA 

J. D. Scott of Waycross, GA 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Other Relatives. 

 

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, July 25, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, July 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Hicks officiating. The interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Atkinson County. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Jeremy Anderson, Johnny Deen, Trent Scott, Shane Pryor, Glen Davis and D. J. James. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
