Geraldine ‘Judy’ Moon Epps, age 89

Ms. Geraldine “Judy” Moon Epps, age 89 of Broxton, GA passed away early Wednesday morning at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. She was born November 1, 1933 to the late Morgan Sidney Moon and the late Addie Mae Todd Moon. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death 2 daughters: Rita Scheu and Kathy Boes and 6 Siblings: Bennie Lee Moon, Alvin “A. J.” Moon, Shirley Simmons, Lurlyne Morris, Kathryn Smith and Ray Moon. 

 

 

Ms. Epps, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker. She was a graduate of the Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon, GA. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

2 Sisters: Pauline Spann and Kay Grantham both of Broxton, GA 

 

 

2 Brothers: Donald Moon 

Dale Moon of West Green, GA 

 

 

4 Grandchildren: Addie Davidson, Amber Zietz Corrin Scheu and Bryan Scheu 

 

 

1 Great Grandchild: Delilah Davidson 

 

 

2 Sons-in-Law: Edward Scheu of Covington, GA 

Billy Boes 

 

 

Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Copeland officiating. The interment will follow in Reedy Branch Cemetery. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Larry Moon, Dexter Moon, Andy Smith, Timothy Moon, Ben Craft, Garrett Z, Smith, Dillon Smith and Garrett K. Smith. 

 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
