Wilda ‘Judy’ Davis Rickerson, age 86

Mrs. Wilda “Judy” Davis Rickerson, age 86 of Douglas, passed away Monday morning August 14, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Rickerson was born January 23, 1937 to the late Roy Davis, Jr. and the late Vida Ray Davis. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Rickerson and a number of siblings. 

 

 

Mrs. Rickerson, a native of Douglas, GA, was a homemaker. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

1 Daughter: Teresa Rickerson Rish of Broxton, GA 

 

 

2 Grandchildren: Jordan Rish of Broxton, GA 

Jessie Rish of Broxton, GA 

 

 

1 Brother: Donnie “Doll” Davis and wife Jean Carol of Douglas, GA 

 

 

Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Thursday morning, August 17, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday morning, August 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. The interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery. 

 

 

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: Royce Fussell, Terry Fussell, Jordan Rish, Jesse Bowen, Sammy Davis and Jessie Rish. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
