The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce was delighted to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony in honor of the grand opening of Kara Adams Designs, a full-service floral design business located right here in Douglas, Georgia.
Born and raised in Coffee County, Kara Adams discovered her passion for floral design several years ago, primarily focusing on crafting exquisite wedding and event arrangements. Today, she takes a significant step in her entrepreneurial journey by launching her business full-time, offering an extensive array of services, from everyday floral orders and deliveries to creating heartfelt sympathy arrangements and elevating every special occasion in between.
Kara Adams, the creative force behind Kara Adams Designs, expressed her deep love for flowers and the impact they have on people’s lives. She passionately stated, “Flowers give me the opportunity to express myself in a way that brings happiness to those around me. Whether making a Thanksgiving arrangement for my grandmother’s table or designing a personalized bouquet for a bride on her special day, I love getting to be a part of sentimental moments for my family and yours. I believe that I am not just hired to do a job but also chosen to transform an event into a memorable experience.”
The grand opening ceremony, held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, was a heartwarming event attended by members of the community, chamber representatives, and family and friends. Chelsea Preston, Member Relations Director at the Chamber, extended a warm welcome to everyone present and introduced Kara Adams and her flourishing business.
Dawson Adams, Kara’s husband and a well-known local photographer, provided a touching invocation that set the tone for this joyous occasion. Wynetta Bolder, City of Douglas City Clerk, expressed her gratitude to Kara for investing in Douglas and Coffee County, highlighting the positive impact of local businesses on the community.
Paulette Brown, Secretary and Treasurer of the Chamber Board, joined the celebration, congratulating Kara Adams and expressing her appreciation for her partnership with the Chamber in enhancing the local business landscape.
The festivities culminated with Kara Adams proudly cutting the ribbon outside her new shop, surrounded by her loving family and close friends, marking a significant milestone in her entrepreneurial journey.
“I founded this company on the principle of service. It’s my goal to provide superior service and a quality product to my clients. Our business allows us to be there for coffee county citizens in celebration and sorrow. We hope to serve our community for many years to come,” says Adams.
