Still Waters Outreach, Inc., announced today a new leadership team will be assuming all responsibilities for board governance and oversight of daily operations. The new team will continue to serve the residents of Coffee County and South Georgia in a collaborative effort with community leaders and volunteers that share the desire to provide a safe residential environment for women during the process of recovery and workforce reentry.

“I am excited to see what the Lord is going to do in this next season at Still Waters,” says JoAnne Lewis, Founder of the ministry. “I know that I know, I have heard God on who this ministry is supposed to go to and it’s Reverend Richard Baker.”

“After praying and asking for a great deal of reassurance, I too believe this is God’s plan and timing” says Richard Baker, President/ Chairman of the Board. “JoAnne has built such an incredible program and I’m honored to carry that vision forward.”

Three additional positions have been added with plans for organizational and programmatic expansion: an Executive Director, Magen Anderson; Director of Operations, Phil Anderson; and a Residential Coordinator, Chasity Hendrix.

Still Waters Outreach, Inc., has served this community and surrounding counties since 2014. From the inception residents of Coffee County have rallied around the ministry making it possible to eternally impact generations, one woman at a time.

The new leadership team comes with a wealth of experience. Richard Baker authored the book, Such a Worm As I, and was delivered from drugs and alcohol in 1979. He and his wife Cheryl have served as missionaries, pastors, and evangelists for over 40 years.

Magen Anderson earned her Master’s degree in psychology from LeTourneau University. She and her husband Phil have 23 years each in nonprofit leadership experience. Phil served as Director for The Salvation Army co-ed Reconnect recovery program and as the Campus Director for New Creation Foundation, a men’s recovery program. In 1997 they committed their life to Christ and were delivered from addiction.

Chasity Hendirx is a graduate of Shane’s Crib in Jesup, celebrates two years of freedom, and demonstrates a deep desire to help others become free too.
