Mr. Dale Arnold Burkett, age 70 of Douglas, GA passed away Thursday morning, September 27, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Burkett was born August 28, 1953 to the late Julius Burkett and the late Thelma Higgins Burkett. 

 

 

Mr. Burkett, a native of Coffee County, was a contractor for both residential and commercial construction. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Mr. Burkett also served in the United States Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. 

 

 

Survivors include: 

 

 

His wife of 50 years: Meloni A. Davis Burkett of Douglas, GA 

 

 

3 Sons: Shannon Burkett of Nicholls, GA 

Chris Burkett and Justin Burkett both of Douglas,GA 

 

 

1 Sister: Debbi Burkett of Douglas, GA 

 

 

2 Brothers: Tony Taylor and wife Linda of Ocala, FL 

Wallace Burkett of Macon, GA 

 

 

7 Grandchildren 

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Many Friends 

 

 

The family will receive friends Saturday morning, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Ricketson Funeral Home. The graveside service and interment will be held Saturday morning, September 30, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Burkett Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Littlejohn officiating. 

 

 

The Pallbearers for the service will be: Chris Burkett, Justin Burkett, Shannon Burkett, Blake Burkett, Cole Burkett and Chandlor Davis. 

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
