Agnes Patricia “Aggie Pat” Belger Dockery, age 75, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Atrium Health in Macon, GA following a brief illness. Mrs. Dockery was born on September 22, 1948 to the late Murray Elmo Belger and Martha Barnes Belger.

Survivors include: Husband; Jimmy Dockery of Douglas, GA, One Son; William Belger (Angela) Dockery of Eatonton, GA, One Sister; Nancy Terrell of Jacksonville, FL, along with several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 1:00PM, in the Family Ministry Center of First Baptist Church. Special speakers will be Brother Shep Johnson and dear friends.

Aggie Pat was a public school educator, who after graduating from Georgia College, Milledgeville Georgia, taught in the public schools of Clayton, Hall, and Coffee Counties. She taught for Fourty-Seven years, the last twenty plus years as the Coffee County Hospital Homebound teacher. She had many happy and a few sad memories of the injured and ill homebound students she taught in grades one through twelve. Needless to say, she loved her students, and they loved her. Teaching, especially reading, was her life. Aggie Pat was a devoted wife of fifty years and loving mother and a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Douglas, GA. Special people in her life were all her dogs, whom she dearly loved. During her retirement, she spent numerous days with her large circle of high school and college friends. She will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to; Coffee Cause for Paws, and Coffee-Atkinson Retired Educators Brown Bag Project.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
