Lora Patsy McMillan, age 80, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. McMillan was born on March 28, 1943 in Glennwood, GA to the late David Robert Samson Woodard and Sallie Jane Barlow Woodard.
Survivors include: Two Sons; Robert McMillan of Douglas, GA, Ricky (Lois) McMillan of Douglas, GA, Three Brothers; J.D. Woodard of Nicholls, GA, William (Shelby) Woodard of Adel, GA, Donald Barlow, Nine Grandchildren; Wayne (Jessica) McMillan, Cory Bender, Matt (Kandice) Bender, Kayla (Matt)Gaddy, Brandon (Leslie) McMillan, Mason (Kaydee) McMillan, Leann McMillan, Rachel McMillan, Philip McMillan, Special Family Friend; Cynthia Jewell, 20 Great Grandchildren, 13 Great Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews. Ms. McMillan was preceded in death by: Husband, Willie McMillan, One Daughter, Judy Bender, One Son; Glenn McMillan, One Sister; Bertha Danley and One Brother; Walter Woodard.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6PM until 9PM at Sims Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 2PM, at Saving Grace Ministries with Rev. Cliff Kirkland, Rev. Glenn Fussell, Rev. Brandon McMillan and Rev. Michael Harper officiating. The interment will follow at Purvis Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Mark McMillan, Jacob Waters, Sammy Woodard, Alex Stone, Christopher Asenah, and Ashley Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bethany Hospice Nurses.
