The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce was filled with excitement and joy on the morning of Thursday, October 26, as they hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to honor the remarkable journey of Rosa’s Rustic Charms Antiques.

Owned and operated by the proud Douglas natives Rosa and Ricky Moore, Rosa’s Rustic Charms Antiques marked its fifth anniversary this October, and the local community came together to celebrate this family and their proud milestone.

Chelsea Preston, the Member Relations Director for the Chamber, kicked off the event by extending a warm welcome to all attendees. She then passed the lead over to Chris Watson, Pastor at GracePointe Church and a dedicated Chamber Board Member, who delivered a heartwarming invocation, offering heartfelt prayers and blessings for the Moore family and their thriving business.

Mayor Tony Paulk, representing the city of Douglas, joined in the celebration, expressing his gratitude to the Moores for their unwavering dedication to the community and for choosing to invest in Douglas. He extended his heartfelt congratulations on their incredible journey in the world of antiques.

Dr. Tracy McClelland, the Chamber Board Chair and a prominent figure at the Medical Institute of South Georgia, took a moment to acknowledge the dedication of Rosa and Ricky Moore. She expressed her appreciation for their continued investment in the community through their partnership with the local Chamber of Commerce. Dr. McClelland also had the opportunity to chat with Mr. Moore about the passion driving their antique business. Mr. Moore shared, “We took the hobby that we love, searching for antiques, and grew a business out of it. We have been longtime collectors and wanted to share that love with others.”

Surrounded by their beloved family and close friends, Rosa and Ricky Moore proudly cut the ribbon in front of their charming storefront. This ceremonial act symbolized not just the celebration of 5 incredible years in business, but also the promise of many more years to come.

Rosa’s Rustic Charms Antiques has become a beloved local establishment, offering a treasure trove of unique antique finds and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all who visit. The Moores’ dedication to their craft and their community has left an indelible mark on Douglas, and this milestone serves as a testament to their commitment.

The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce congratulates Rosa and Ricky Moore on their remarkable journey and wishes them continued success as they embark on the next chapter of their antique adventure.
