Kentavius Street is coming home. Kind of.

Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles traded the Douglas native and North Carolina State graduate to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2024 sixth round draft pick. The Falcons also received a 2025 seventh round draft pick.

Street, a 6’2”, 287-pound defensive lineman, is from Douglas and played at Coffee High School before his family moved to North Carolina. He graduated from J.H. Rose High School in Greenville and played his college ball at NC State.

The San Francisco 49ers drafted Street in the fourth round in 2018. He played with the 49ers for three years before signing with the Eagles as a free agent in 2022. The Falcons made the deal with Philadelphia after defensive lineman Grady Jarrett’s season ended Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Jarrett tore

his ACL in that game.

For his career, Street has played in 60 games, started five, and recorded 75 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, and one pass deflected. This year for Philadelphia, Street has played in all eight games (one start) and has four tackles.

Atlanta’s trade for Street came about 24 hours before the NFL trade deadline ends Tuesday at 4 p.m.
