The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce hosted a lively ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially welcome Taylor’s Outdoors and Apparel to Downtown Douglas, a vibrant addition to the local business landscape. Formerly known as Top Dollar Pawn, this family-owned sporting goods business underwent a remarkable transformation with a rebranding and relocation aimed at expanding its inventory selection and services.

Taylor’s Outdoors and Apparel now stands proudly at 516 South Peterson Avenue Douglas, offering a vast array of firearms, ammo, and shooting sports accessories. As a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction, they buy and pawn guns, even entertaining the purchase of entire collections. Functioning as an NFA stocking dealer, they provide a comprehensive selection of suppressors and proudly hold the title of a SilencerShop dealer. With a convenient kiosk for inkless fingerprints, they streamline the process for their patrons.

The store isn’t just a haven for sports enthusiasts; it caters to the fashion-forward too. Boasting a diverse collection of men’s and women’s sporting and everyday apparel, Taylor’s Outdoors and Apparel aims to be a one-stop-shop for all.

In the midst of a bustling store filled with eager customers, Chelsea Preston, the Member Relations Director at the Chamber, directed the ceremony. Mayor Tony Paulk entertained the crowd with tales from his days in the US Army, bringing laughter and smiles to everyone present. Expressing gratitude, Mayor Paulk commended the Taylor family for investing in Downtown Douglas, emphasizing the positive impact on the local economy.

Ben Floyd, Vice Chair of the Chamber Board and VP of Operations at CRMC, extended his thanks to the Taylor family for their enduring partnership with the Chamber. He spoke warmly about their exceptional services that have benefited not only him but countless households over the years.

Nathan Taylor, the owner, spoke on behalf of his family, expressing heartfelt thanks to the attendees for their overwhelming support and the Chamber for their steadfast partnership. “We get to come to work every day and serve Coffee County and the surrounding areas doing what we love and are passionate about, and that is an honor,” said Nathan.

Surrounded by friends, family, and loyal customers, the Taylor family beamed with pride as they officially cut the ribbon, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Taylor’s Outdoors and Apparel in their hometown.
