Mrs. Betty Jean Cadwell Skipper, age 91 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 8, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Skipper was born January 16, 1932 to the late William Henry Cadwell and the late Viola Mullis Cadwell. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlton Skipper; 2 brothers: Mullis Cadwell and D. L. Cadwell; 2 Sisters, Vesta C. Williams and Fuqua C. Pitts.

 

 

Mrs. Skipper, a native of Dodge County, had been an accountant at Lyons Management for many years. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

 

 

Survivors include:

 

 

2 Sons: D’Lane Skipper and wife Cheryl of Douglas, GA
Scotty Skipper and wife Sharron of Marietta, GA

 

 

6 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter

 

 

Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends

 

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning, November 11, 2023 from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Morningside Baptist Church.

 

 

The funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Morningside Baptist Church with a eulogy being given by Rev. Kevin Bounds and the message will be presented by Dr. Levi Skipper. The interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Ryals Cemetery near Chauncey, GA

 

 

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
