Ms. Doris “Machelle” Batten, age 61 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at her residence in Douglas, GA. Mrs. Batten was born June 7, 1962 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Arthur Eugene Batten and Jeannie Lou Tanner Law.

Son: Cameron Dale Pierce of Ocilla, GA;
Mother and Daddy: Jennie and Roger Law of Douglas, GA;
5 Grandchildren: Victoria Pierce,
Peyton Pierce,
Maddox Pierce,
Ari Burkett,
Eva Grace Pierce;
1 Sister: Renee Williams of Douglas, GA;
3 Brothers: Michael Batten,
Chad Ables (Amy), and
Shane Ables, all of Douglas, GA;
Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held Sunday afternoon, November 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home, Sunday, November 12, 2023, beginning at 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM.
