Wayne Smith, age 75, of Ambrose Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023, at his residence, with his three girls by his side. He was born on May 1, 1948 the son of Ivey and Inez Smith.

 

 

Survivors include: Three Daughters; Vickie Lynn (Jerome) Harrell of Ambrose, GA, Rhonda Carol (Michael) Butler of Douglas, GA, and Gina Dawn (Derek) Fowler of Ambrose, GA, One Step-son; Stacey (Michelle) Bryant of Snipesville, GA, One Sister; Glennis Smith of Ambrose, GA, Five Grandchildren; Joshua Railey, Heather (Steve Martin) Dixon, Hannah (Oscar) DeWitt, J.R. (Jessica) Harrell, Chris (Maggie) Butler, Three Step Grand-Children; Skye, Beth, and Harley, Nine Great-Grandchildren, Special Nephew; Logan Stevens, Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, and His dog; Cricket. He was preceded in death by; Beloved Wife; Judy Harris Smith, One Sister; Nancy Faye Smith, Father; Ivey Smith, and Mother; Inez Smith.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday night, October 24, 2023, from 6PM until 9PM, at Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, GA.

 

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at The Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 11AM, with Rev. Don Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Griffin Cemetery of Ambrose, GA.

 

 

Active Pallbearers include; James Smith, Waylon Smith, Darby Sweat, Rob Smith Jr., Greg Merritt, and Davy Carter.

 

 

Honorary Pallbearers include; Brad Vickers, Frank Griffin, and Nathan Porter.

 

 

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
