A Douglas man is behind bars on a rather impressive list of charges following a traffic stop.

On Monday, November 27, 2023, a Coffee County detective received word that Walter Jaden Bryan, 27, had been arrested for a traffic violation, along with Jeremy Hersey, 30, and Bradley Barton, 30. According to a report on the stop, officers allegedly found guns, unlawful suppressors, and a methamphetamine pipe.

Officers searched Bryan’s home and found suspected methamphetamine, hydrocodone, and oxycodone on the property. Additionally, officers found over 50 guns, according to the report. Bryan had previously been arrested on illegal drug charges as well.

As a result of the investigation, Bryan was hit with a host of charges, including killing deer at night, hunting with an unlawful weapon, no hunting license (x2), hunting without a big game license (x2), recording and reporting requirements for game animals and birds, possession of methamphetamine (x2), possession of hydrocodone, possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (x2), and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

Hersey was arrested on methamphetamine, unlawful hunting, and possession of a firearm charges. Barton was also hit with similar charges. All three remain in the Coffee County Jail.
