Jewel Bradley, age 88, of Douglas, GA, passed away at Satilla Memorial Health on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in Waycross, GA. Ms. Bradley was born on March 2, 1935, the daughter of Mr. Taft Taylor and Mrs. Mattie Mae Music Taylor.

Her survivors include: Three Sons; James (Sheila) Purvis of Douglas, GA, Ronnie (Kathy) Purvis of Fort White, FL, and William Alan (Barbara) Purvis of Douglas, GA, Two Daughters; Judy Ann (Jerrell) Shrouder of Ambrose, GA, and Nadine Purvis Corbitt (Late Husband: Darrell Corbitt) of Douglas, GA, Eighteen Grandchildren; Patricia, Hailey, Misti, Jerome, Robert, Heather, David, Stacy, Mandy, Beth, Jonathan, Wayne, Brian, Jennifer, Melissa, Ashley, Casey, and Kandace, Thirty-Seven Great- Grandchildren, Ten Great-Great Grandchildren, along with several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Her first Husband; Clinton Purvis, Second Husband; William Bascom Bradley, One Daughter; Patricia Purvis, Father; Taft Taylor, Mother; Mattie Music Taylor, Two brother; Thurman “Jug” Taylor, and Wilton “Winky” Taylor and Two Sisters; Willadean Stapleton and Carolyn Holder.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023, from 5PM until 8PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 11AM, at The Chapel of Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, GA, with Rev. Clyde Purvis and Rev. Edison Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Purvis Cemetery.
