Rebecca Ann Rawlins Kirkland, age 87, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at The Landings in Douglas, GA following an extended illness. Ms. Kirkland was born on September 11, 1936 to the late Harvey B. Rawlins and Mary Ellen Harper Rawlins.

Ms. Kirkland was preceded in death by: Two husbands; J.J. Morrison, Bobby Kirkland, Five Siblings; Evelyn Chutjian, George Rawlins, Madelyn Lawson, Lola Burch, Joe Rawlins, Parents; Harvey and Mary Rawlins, Son-In-Law; Donnie Carver, and a Grandson; Kevin Carver.
She was a central figure in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her happiest days were when her large family was all together. Her life was spent in service of others. She cared for many children in her home, she drove a school bus for 30 years, and later assisted in the care of grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 1:30PM until 3:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 3:00PM, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. William Pope officiating. The interment will follow at Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be: Cole Morrison, Justin Hart, A.C. Harris, Jordan Girtman, Alex Morrison, Elec Morrison, Andrew Vickers, Austin Vickers, Derick Wooten, Brandon Adams, Bryce McCall, and Matthew Walker.
