Mrs. Joan Murray was Born in Douglas, Georgia on December 5, 1952, Joan Merchant Murray passed away on February 8, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. She was born in Douglas, Georgia, and was 71 years old at the time of her death.

Joan lived most of her life in Coffee County. She and Stanley had two daughters together, Sherise Murray Rodreguez and Brooke Murray. Together they opened several convenient stores in the early eighties. Joan finished her work career as a clerical clerk at Wal Mart Distribution center.

Joan was full of life and fun. She enjoyed her family, cooking, and watching old movies. On a beautiful day you could find her walking the track or enjoying the outdoors.

She is survived by: two Daughters; Sherise Murray Rodriguez, and Brooke Murray, three Grandchildren; Lucas Stanley Harper, Catie Sweat, and Cassie Sweat, and one Sister Amber Mckinnon Ware.

Joan was proceeded in death by her Husband; Stanley Murray, Mother; Blondee Burch Mckinnon, Father; Collan Merchant, Sisters; Melissa Merchant Chapman, and Cathy Merchant Wilkerson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17.2024 at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home in Douglas, Georgia. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services. Graveside will follow immediately at Old Jowers Chapel Cemetery.

Johnson Funeral & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Joan Murray.
