Thada Harper, age 80, of Douglas, GA passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Harper was born on December 15, 1943, in Coffee County, GA, to the late Cauley Owen Taft and Vicey Lou Taft.

Survivors include: Her Husband; Jerry A. Harper of Douglas, GA, Two Sons; Allen Taft “Buster” (Britton) Harper of Douglas, GA, Alex (Blakely) Harper of Tifton, GA, Three Grandchildren; Laine Harper, June Harper, Hampton Allen Harper, One Sister; Vivian Nicholson of Douglas, GA, and a Special Niece; Lynn McKinnon.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00AM, at Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Stone and Rev. Chip Woodruff officiating. The interment will follow at the Douglas City Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be: Chris Merritt, Ashley Merritt, Jason Merritt, Justin Merritt, Quiness Carver, Jason Gillis, and Tymer Gillis.

Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
