Rev. Gerald Gardner, age 80, of Douglas, Georgia, went to be with our Lord and Savior at Coffee Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024. He was born on October 3rd, 1943 the son of Mr. George Gardner and Mrs. Lena Agnes Strickland.
Rev. Gardner pastored at Bushnell Chapel in Ambrose Georgia for many years. He was a blessing to his entire congregation. He was a beloved husband, father and a devout man of God.
His Survivors include: His beloved wife; Evaline Cheshire Gardner of Douglas, Ga, Two Sons; Dustin (Desiree) Gardner of Cape Coral, Fl, and Gregg (Renae) Gardner of Meridian, MS, Three Grandchildren; Shelby Kay (Josh) Padilla of Mt. Vernon, IN, Iris Gardner of Cape Carol, Fl, and Griffen Gardner of Meridian, MS, One Great-Grandson; Anson (Rain Bucket) Padilla, One Grant-Daughter; Karigan Padilla, One Sister; Lena McQuaig of Douglas, Ga, and One Brother; Glenn (Glenda) Gardner of Douglas, Ga. He was preceded in death by; One Son; Timothy Gerald Gardner, One Brother; Jimmy Strickland, Father; George Gardner, Mother; Lena Agnes Strickland.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16th, 2024, from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, Ga.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 17th, 2024, at 11:00AM, at First Assembly of God in Douglas, Ga, with Rev. Glen Vaughn and Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating.
