Mr. Dan Autry Duren, Jr., age 75 of Douglas, Georgia, passed away early Friday morning, January 5, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah, Georgia after a short illness.

Mr. Duren was born Monday, March 1, 1948 in Coffee County, Georgia to the late Dan Autry Duren, Sr. and the late Lula Spitzer Duren. He was a chemical operator by trade and worked for Optima Chemical in Douglas, Georgia for many years. Mr. Duren was an avid NASCAR fan and in his later years he developed a fondness for bologna and cookies, but above all, the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his granddaughter, Alli and watching her and the horses.

Mr. Duren is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Amber Duren, his granddaughter, Alli Duren, and sister, Janice Nettles, all of Douglas, Georgia.

Memorialization will be by cremation. The inurnment will follow at a later date.

Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.
