Mrs. Sue Batten Bordeaux, age 91, of Douglas, Georgia passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Thursday December 21, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bordeaux was born Wednesday, August 24, 1932 in Douglas, Georgia to the late Alfred Mack Weeks and the late Hazel Smith Weeks. She was a bookkeeper by trade and was employed by Malcolm’s Drug Store for many years. Mrs. Bordeaux was of the Baptist faith and had been an active member of First Baptist Church in Douglas, Georgia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Mr. Ben Batten Jr. and Mr. Wiley Bordeaux, along with a son, Ronnie Batten.

Mrs. Bordeaux is survived by her children: Cindy Batten of Gainesville, Georgia, Penny Dunham of Kennesaw, Georgia, George Bordeaux of Douglas, Georgia, and Steve Bordeaux of Ft. Collins, Colorado; 9 grandchildren: April Kirkland of Clermont, Florida, Amber Moran of Savannah, Georgia, Amy Bradford of Douglas, Georgia, Ben Batten of Ambrose, Georgia, Misty Boyes of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Carolyn Towers of McDonough, Georgia, Whitney Takach of Douglas, Georgia, Adam Day of Douglas, Georgia, and Sara Collins of Conyers, Georgia; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

A number of extended family members and friends also survive.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday morning, December 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Satilla Memorial Gardens with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday Morning, December 23, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Ricketson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be: Blake Allen, Chandler Allen, Ben Batten, George Bordeaux, Phil Dunham, Gary Klingman, and Jake Moran.

Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.
