Mrs. Tammie Regina Dorminey Bracewell, age 54 of Douglas, GA passed away, Thursday afternoon, January 11, 2024, at Satilla Memorial Hospital in Waycross, following an extended illness. Mrs. Bracewell was born Monday, May 26, 1969 to Wylene Harper Dorminey and the late John Tommy Dorminey. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by a sister: Cathy Lynn Davis.

Mrs. Bracewell, a native of Coffee County, was employed in the Finance Department of Ocilla Board of Education for a number of years. She enjoyed fishing, getting out and doing things with her husband, and spending time playing with her dogs: Clover, Lucy, Ellie Mae, and Brownie. Mrs. Bracewell attended St. Illa Baptist Church.

Her Mother: Wylene Harper Dorminey of Douglas, GA
1 Brother: John Michael Dorminey (Teresa) of Douglas, GA
4 Nephews: Landon Michael Dorminey (Shelby) of Parker, CO
Christopher Darrell Davis of Savannah, GA
Justin Bracewell (Candice) of Broxton, GA
Riley Bracewell of Douglas, GA
1 Niece: Laura Elizabeth Williams (Dustin) of Douglas, GA
A Number of Extended family members and friends

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 14, 2024 from 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday morning, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Illa Church with Rev. Dennis Harper officiating. She will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM to lie-in-state until the funeral hour. The interment will follow in St. Illa Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers for the service will be: David Harper, Landon Dorminey, Dustin Wiliams, Donnie Harper, Christopher Davis and Josh Dorminey.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
