Mrs. Betty Joe McGovern, 79 of Ocilla, GA passed away on February 29, 2024 in Tifton Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 22, 1944 to the late Mr. Otis Purvis and the Late Mrs. Cornelia Edenfeild Purvis.
Mrs. McGovern is survived by 1 Son; Michael Shane McGovern (Alena) of Ray City, GA.
1 Daughter; Brandy Michelle Sweat of Fitzgerald, GA.
1 Sister; Jackie Evens of Stockbridge, GA.
Several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and other family members also survive.
Other than her parents, she is proceeded in death by her Daughter; Stacy Johnson, Sisters; Mona Gail Purvis and Clare Mae Cleveland.
Memorialization was cremation.
