Local attorney Clint Lott has launched his campaign for State Court Judge of Coffee County. Lott is running to fill the vacancy left behind by Judge Bob Preston’s retirement and asks for your support as he continues his efforts to serve our community in this Judicial role.
“I am running for State Court Judge of Coffee County to continue my commitment of serving the residents of Coffee County. I have been fortunate enough to live in this community for the majority of my life and I have served as an attorney in Coffee County for the past 15 years,” Lott states. “As your next State Court Judge, I assure you that State Court will be a just forum, free of any potential conflict, and respectful to all. Based on my education, experience, and knowledge of our community, I am well prepared to take on this role,” he states.
Lott attended the University of Georgia where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration and majored in finance. He later continued his education by attending John Marshall Law School to become an attorney and has practiced law since 2004. As an attorney, Lott has handled a variety of cases, both civil and criminal, and intends to use his background to better serve the citizens of Coffee County in the courtroom. “Through my past 20 years of experience in civil and criminal law, I am confident that I am capable and ready to step into the role of State Court Judge. My experience in the courtroom and with other lawyers and judges has prepared me for the responsibilities of a Judge. I promise to accept these responsibilities and make fair and unbiased decisions if elected as your next State Court Judge,” Lott states.
Lott’s involvement in our community is an essential part of his family and his life. “As a resident of Coffee County, community involvement has always been an important part of me. I hope to make our community better in every venture I partake in,” Lott states.
Lott is involved with many community organizations and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Okefenokee Swamp Park, Board of Directors for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Board of Directors for Coffee Regional Medical Center Foundation, and Coffee Middle School Governance Committee. Lott and his family attend First Baptist Church and actively participate in involvements to benefit our community. Clint and Benita Lott have been married for over 20 years and have two children enrolled at Coffee High School.
“I ask for your support and vote in the upcoming primary election. Judges are non-partisan and the final outcome will be decided in the primary election. Early voting will be April 29 – May 17, 2024, and voting will conclude on May 21, 2024,” states Lott.
