The Douglas-Coffee County Parks and Recreation Department (DCCRPD) hosted the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) Class B 12 & Under Boys Basketball Tournament at Central Square Complex on Friday, March 1 to Saturday, March 2, 2024.

In the championship game, the DCCPRD All-Stars emerged victorious with a score of 76-66 against Sumter County, securing the State GRPA Class B 12 & Under Boys State Champion title.

“On behalf of the City of Douglas and Parks & Recreation, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the players, coaches, and parents who have worked tirelessly throughout the basketball season,” said Mayor Tony Paulk. “Winning this GRPA State title while representing our community is a great achievement that is truly astronomical.”

The following players were part of the winning team: Zaderrian Hancock, Markel Jordan, Makel Stone, Isaiah Odum, Amauni Manning, Treton Darby, Jazion Sims, Anthony Forrest, Anthony Gaskin, and Chase Kelly. The coaches for the team were Mortell Jordan and Rahkeem Paulk.
