Gerald Wayne Jewell, age 75, of Douglas Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Coffee Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born on January 16, 1949 the son on Mr. Isom and Mrs. Oneda Jewell.

He leaves behind his Beloved Wife; Clarice Jewell of Douglas, GA, Three Sons; Scotty (Brittany) Jewell, Chad (Christy Vickers) Jewell, and Jed (Stephanie) Jewell, Eleven Grandchildren; Adam (Carrie) Jewell, Ryan Jewell, Kelsey (Brandon) Kight, Nathan (Dixie) Jewell, Alex Jewell, Allie Jewell, Gage Jewell, Brittany Merritt, Brayleigh Whitley, Reagan Jewell, and Layla Jewell, One Brother; J.R. Jewell, Four Sisters; Shirley (Billy) Meeler, Judy Lott, Donna (Ronald) Paulk, and Doris Mizell, Seven Great-Grandchildren, along with several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by; Father; Isom Jewell, Mother; Oneda Phillips Jewell, Two Brothers; Harvey Jewell, and Merrill Jewell, Two Sisters; Barbara Knight, and Bernice Crosby.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 12:00PM until 1:30PM.

Graveside services will be held at Cumorah Cemetery, at 2:00PM, with Bishop Matt Smith officiating and Special Speaker Rev. Jerry Waldron.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
