An initial report of a domestic dispute in West Green resulted in a drug arrest on February 27, 2024.

According to an incident report from the sheriff’s office, a deputy went to a home on Dundee Road in West Green to investigate a possible domestic dispute. He found Billy Lester, 31, and Crystal Henderson, 32, at the scene. During the investigation, the deputy found that Lester, of Waynesville, had an active warrant out of Wilkinson County and Henderson had one out of Atkinson County. Wilkinson County officials wanted a hold placed on Lester while Atkinson County officers had no interest in detaining Henderson. She was released at the scene.

The deputy detained Lester and conducted a search. The officer found a pipe and suspected methamphetamine on Lester. He was arrested and charged with possession of a drug-related item and possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. He was taken to the Coffee County Jail where he remains.
