Roy Lamar Parker, Sr., age 75, of Pearson, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Candler Medical Center in Savannah, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Parker was born on September, 11, 1948, in Coffee County, GA to the late John Roy and Beulah Mae Parker.

Survivors include: His Wife; Celia Parker of Pearson, GA, Two Daughters; Kandi (Stephen) Knight of Broxton, GA, Kaci (Scott) of Broxton, GA, One Son; Lamar (Carolyn) Parker Jr. of Pearson GA, Six Grandchildren; Brandon (Kristin) Burkett, Kaylee (Wesley) Sears, Jordon (Holland)Knight, Pyper Arvidson, Conley Harkleroad, Jared Wooten, Eight Great Grandchildren; One Brother; Eddie (Paula) Parker of Brunswick, GA, One Sister; Lita (Mike) Czerepinski of Brunswick, GA, and One Sister in Law; Loretta Parker of Ambrose, GA. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by; One Daughter; Kathy Simmons, and Two Brothers; Larry Parker and Billy Parker.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 6PM until 9PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11AM, at Trinity Non-Denominational Church, with Rev. David Bowen and Rev. Joseph Cochran officiating. The interment will follow the service at Douglas City Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be: Jordan Knight, Wesley Sears, Brandon Burkett, Shane Parker, Layton Parker, Jimmy Rowell, Cameron Arvidson, and Tim McMillan

Honorary Pallbearers will be: His truck driving friends.

Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
